Born in Bear River, Nova Scotia, Kevin Isles has been a keen artist and naturalist from his early days. Kevin painted wildlife and wilderness in a realistic style. It was his journeys in Alberta that introduced him to a variety of contemporary styles, including post-impressionism and abstract expressions.

Though mainly self-taught, Kevin has had art instruction from many award winning artists throughout Canada. (LINKS INSERTED HERE) Kevin has sold many of his works to both public and commercial collectors across Canada and the USA.

Using his broad knowledge of art mediums, Kevin decided to express his art on the ultimate canvas; skin. Tattooing has become a natural extension of his artistic talent, directly translating what he sees with a brush, with what he sees with a tattoo gun. Kevin stresses that composition is the most important aspect of a painting or a tattoo.

Every one of his pieces has a unique and interesting composition that keeps the eye moving around the subject matter.
